Introduction

JioLeh! is a location-based social platform that allows you to share meaningful real-world experiences with friends through map pins, reviews, photos, comments, location-based recommendations, friend interactions, and gamified exploration features.

We respect your privacy and are committed to protecting your personal data. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, how we protect it, and what choices you have when using JioLeh!. By using the app, you agree to the collection and use of information as described here.

Information we collect

We may collect the following types of information when you use JioLeh!.

2.1 Account information

When you create an account or log in, we may collect your name or username, email address, profile picture, authentication information, and your account settings and preferences. This is used to create and manage your account, identify you within the app, and support friend-based features.

2.2 Location information

Because JioLeh! is a location-based app, we may collect:

• Your current location, if you give permission
• Locations you manually pin on the map
• Places you review, save, or interact with
• Location metadata, such as coordinates, place names, and categories

Location data lets you add pins, share places with friends, discover nearby recommendations, and use map-based features. You may disable location permissions at any time through your device settings — though some location-based features may not work properly if access is disabled.

2.3 User-generated content

You may choose to upload or create content, including reviews, ratings, comments, photos, place names, chat messages tied to locations, OpenJio event details, and itineraries or travel-related information. This content may be visible to your friends, groups, or other users depending on your privacy settings and sharing choices.

2.4 Photos and media

If you upload photos, we may collect and store the images you provide. These photos may be used to support location reviews, memories, profile features, and visual map interactions. We may also process uploaded images using third-party services to check whether the image is appropriate or relevant to the location.

2.5 Friend and social interaction data

To support social features, we may collect friend requests, accepted friend connections, group memberships, comments and interactions between friends, leaderboard and points activity, and shared locations within friend groups.

2.6 Device and usage information

We may collect technical information to improve the app, such as device type, operating system, app version, log data, crash reports, feature usage patterns, and performance data. This helps us maintain, debug, and improve JioLeh!.

How we use your information

We use the information we collect to:

• Create and manage user accounts
• Provide map-based location sharing features
• Allow users to add, save, and view location pins
• Enable reviews, ratings, photos, and comments
• Support friend invitations and private sharing
• Enable group chats, OpenJio events, and location-based discussions
• Provide gamified features such as points, leaderboards, and fog-of-map progress
• Suggest places based on friend activity and location data
• Detect inappropriate or irrelevant uploaded images
• Classify comments or reviews into useful topics
• Improve app functionality, security, and user experience

AI and third-party processing

JioLeh! may use artificial intelligence or machine learning services to improve your experience. For example, uploaded images may be processed to detect inappropriate content or determine whether the image is relevant to a place; reviews and comments may be processed to classify topics such as "cheap food" or "friendly staff"; and location and friend activity may be analyzed to suggest places relevant to you.

How we share your information

5.1 With your friends or groups

Content you choose to share — such as pins, reviews, photos, ratings, comments, or OpenJio events — may be visible to your accepted friends or selected groups, depending on your privacy settings.

5.2 With service providers

We may share data with trusted third-party service providers who help us operate the app, such as cloud hosting, authentication, storage, map services, image analysis, and AI processing providers.

5.3 For safety, security, or legal reasons

We may disclose information if necessary to protect the safety of users, prevent fraud, abuse, or security threats, enforce our terms or policies, or comply with applicable laws, regulations, or legal requests.

Privacy controls and your choices

You have control over how your information is shared. Depending on the features available in the app, you may be able to:

• Accept or reject friend requests
• Choose who can view your shared locations
• Share content only with selected friends or groups
• Disable location sharing
• Remove or edit your pins, reviews, photos, or comments
• Leave groups
• Change account or privacy settings
• Delete your account, subject to technical and legal limitations

You can also disable location permissions through your device settings at any time.

Location sharing

JioLeh! uses location data only with your permission. You may choose to allow location access, manually add locations, stop sharing location data, or disable location access through your device settings.

We aim to avoid exposing your personal or location-related information unnecessarily. Your account and location-sharing features are designed to be private by default, except where you intentionally share content with friends, groups, or public followers if public creator features are enabled.

Public profiles and content creators

JioLeh! may include verified content creator accounts in the future. Unlike normal private accounts, content creator profiles may allow wider public access to selected recommendations, posts, or location content.

If you choose to follow or interact with a public content creator account, some of your interactions may be visible depending on the feature design and privacy settings. Normal user accounts remain private by default unless users intentionally choose to share information.

Data storage and security

We take reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect your data against unauthorized access, loss, misuse, or alteration. These measures may include:

• Authentication and access control
• Database security rules
• Input validation and sanitization
• Secure storage for uploaded content
• Limited access to personal data
• Monitoring for suspicious activity

However, no method of electronic storage or transmission over the internet is completely secure. We cannot guarantee absolute security.
